Elections hold in the State of Osun on the 9th of May 2014. Having visited Osun twice now, I can say fairly enough that the best man will win, and I know exactly who the best man is. The top 2 contenders I see in the contest are Rauf Aregbesola, and Iyiola Omisore.
While I'm not fully convinced that Iyiola Omisore even resides in the state, as he may be coordinating his own power broking from Abuja, Rauf Aregebsola on the other hand, seems to be on the lips of someone, at least at every turn you make.
At some point, I had to personally take time out to visit one of the campaign rallies in the state of Osun, just to be convinced the crowds I'd seen in the photos were as real as flesh and blood. So it has been whispered in some quarters that some other party could turn the tide by distributing rice, and other "stomach infrastructure", I say let's look at the realities in the pictures below, and ask ourselves what manner of natural disaster can befall the people of Osun, to turn these multitudes around.
Nice article. Please note the date of Osun election is August 9th. Check the first line of the article.
