TARUWA Festival Of Performing Arts In Nigeria

An entire weekend of theatre, music, poetry, fashion, film, dance, and an opportunity to hang out with everyone in the back-end of the Nigerian entertainment industry. TARUWA needs no definition or introduction to the avid Lagos socialite, for it is itself the last stronghold of true artistry in Africa's most populous city.

All of Nigeria's top performing artistes of varying genres have been hosted at TARUWA events, including Nneka, Blaise, Bez Idakula, Christine Ben-Ameh, MI Abaga, Omawumi, Djinee, WizKid, Kel,  Ego, Efe Paul, MTrill, Mode Nine...it's just impossible to mention a few.

The TARUWA Festival Of Performing Arts opens on Thursday, June 6th, with the stage plays "London Life, Lagos Living" and "Chronicles Of A Heroine". Friday features several short films, the open mic sessions, fashion, and a Mega Ball, which will showcase performances by various artistes. The festival will culminate in the "Ankara Ball" on Saturday, June 8th, a glamorous ankara-themed night of music, dinner, and dance.

TARUWA and The TARUWA Festival Of Performing Arts is organized by GbagyiChild Entertainment. The Festival holds at TerraKulture, Victoria Island, Lagos, from 6th to 8th June, 2013. Entry into the festival: N3,000.
