The Group A match between South Africa and Cape Verde kicks off the contest among sixteen of Africa's leading football playing nations which starts today, and and ends on February 10th. Please, don't ask me why Egypt is not there, but according to FIFA Rankings, the top ten African nations are:
Côte d'Ivoire
Algeria
Mali
Ghana
Zambia
Libya
Gabon
Central African Republic
Nigeria
Tunisia
By virtue of this ranking, recent matches I've watched, and the general political and economic stability of the countries listed, it is safe to say the winner of this tournament is among Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Zambia. The host country, South Africa, and our own dearly beloved country Nigeria, have both shown little promise, so there's no way in Hell anyone will catch me supporting either.
